WHAT IS REIKI?

The word "Reiki" is made of two Japanese words - "Rei" which means Universal, God's Wisdom, or Higher Power and "Ki" which is "life force energy." Translated, this means that a higher consciousness guides the life energy. Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing technique using light touch for balance, stress reduction, harmony, creativity, health, wellness, and relaxation. It works on the emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical planes to maximize the benefits for the client.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

Any client can expect to feel relaxed after their first reiki session. One may even feel rejuvenated! Because of the toxins being removed, a change is taking place in your body, and there will be a period of adjustment where you may need more rest and water.

DOES REIKI HURT?

The short answer is no. Reiki is guided by a higher consciousness, not the practitioner themselves, so it can never cause harm. It always knows what healing a person needs and will act appropriately. It is always helpful and always safe.

DO YOU HELP TREAT TERMINAL OR CHRONIC ILLNESS?

Reiki has aided in helping heal virtually every known illness and injury including life-threatening problems such as multiple sclerosis, heart disease, and cancer. It can also be used to support the treatment of finer ailments such as physical and emotional trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and fibromyalgia. This is not to say reiki should replace any other healing modalities or medical advice. However, reiki works in conjunction with all other medical practices and treatments.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

Clients can prepare for their first treatment by getting clear on what it is they want help healing - it's good, but not necessary, to have a clear goal in mind. Drinking water before your treatment is also encouraged to hydrate your system before the healing takes place.
